What the longspur?

Today I went over to woods lake and found around 400 canada geese and 200 cackling geese. Near the side of the lake I could see a northern pintail and a coot. After that I headed and down to Timnath reservoir to take a look at the horned lark and the western Meadowlark. I got more than I bargained for as I found a Lapland longspur, a rarity for this time of year. Today was a pretty good day.
Sincerely,
Omeganook
